Artist Database
If you are a teacher, early years professional, education advisor, or other organisation looking for an artist or arts and cultural organisation, then you've come to the right place! All artists profiled on this database have various skills across different art forms, extensive experience with different early years learning needs, and have been police cleared.
However, inclusion on this database does not represent any endorsement or recommendation of any of the artists or arts and cultural organisations by the earlyarts network. This Artists Database is managed by Axis Artists who operate an introductions system between the potential employer and the artist, this ensures high standards and safety guidelines are adhered to. All settings or potential employers will be encouraged to complete their own appropriate checks prior to employing an artist to work with children or vulnerable people, and must accept responsibility for determining the suitability of any artist.
Support in this process is freely available from one of the Artists in Education Agencies in your area, who will work alongside your organisation to help guide you through the stages of planning and carrying out a project. Schools and Early Years Settings are strongly encouraged to discuss their ideas with the Artists in Education Agencies at the start of the planning process to maximise benefits and avoids pitfalls.
If you are an artist or arts and cultural organisation with a high standard of artistic practice, the ability to articulate the creative process, interested in working in collaboration with early years professionals and the evidence to link your creative practice with early learning goals and would like to apply for inclusion on the database, click here: ![]()
