Earlyarts is a network of professionals from the arts, cultural, early education and related sectors who are involved in developing creative practice for birth to fives. Some of our Early Years practitoners and parents have designed a series of postcards that are now available to purchase and distribute to parents. View the postcards here
Each of the four beautiful postcards focuses on a different aspect of children's learning and development. The ideas are based on familiar activities so parents will feel happy to have a go. Ideal as a conversation starter or an advocacy tool for creative play. On the reverse of each postcard is a list of four areas of learning and development linked to each activity, to help parents understand why creative play is so important and not just 'messing around'. The activities are all child-oriented and act as a stimulus to encourage parents and carers to become more involved in their child's play, with lots of opportunities for the activities to be taken further, in the home or the early years setting.
