10.00 am – 4.00 pm (Coffee available from 9.30am)
Theme: Early Years Music – developing instruments and ideas
For: Artists, early years practitioners, heads of centres, cultural managers, local authority advisors, early years professionals, arts or cultural organisations
Programme:
10.00am Earlyarts Welcome Nathan Archer, Chair of Earlyarts
10.30am Creative Practice Exposed – presentation and discussions on:
- soundLINCS First Notes Programmes – early years music making in Lincolnshire
12:00pm Earlyarts Knowledge – key events coming up in the sector, information sharing amongst attendees, question and answer on need for wider early years network in region supporting early year’s practitioners.
12.30pm Lunch and Networking (please bring your own sandwiches or money for local cafe)
1:30pm CPD workshop
- soundLINCS facilitators help you embrace junk music! Make your own junk instruments and find new ideas and inspiration to take away with you for your own practice.*
3:30pm Sharing Experiences – what did everyone think of the day? Any ideas for next PDD?
16:00pm Date of next PDD and finish
*Please bring one random household item with you to the session (the more obscure the better!) to challenge your Music Facilitators and fellow participants to make music from the products brought to the group!
When choosing your item please keep in mind suitability for the age-group. Bring your imagination and creative flair with you!
