Introduction to the day and Half Moon's role as one of London's Earlyarts Pathfinders: Chris Elwell, Director, Half Moon
9.45 Practical Session 1
Creating Theatre Through Exchange – an exploration of how free and structured play in nurseries can inform the development of performance specifically with the under 5s. The experience will be framed by watching Half Moon’s new theatre piece, Plum And Pickle, a simple fusion of theatre and hip-hop with few words and an opportunity to see a short DVD of the process undertaken by Half Moon in devising this piece.
12.30 Networking lunch and tour of the theatre, please bring your own lunch or money for local cafes
13.30 Practical Session 2
Developing a structured curriculum for pre-school and Foundation Stage using drama, play and shapes - an exploration of the outreach programme that surrounded Half Moon's play for under 5s – Plum and Pickle - that is being delivered in Tower Hamlets, Camden and Southwark between February and May 2011: Liz Hague, Associate Artist, Half Moon
15.30 Sharing Experiences learning journeys and delivery plans, feedback and action planning.
15.45 Earlyarts London Pathfinders and Earlyarts – www.earlyarts.co.uk – introduction of other London Pathfinders, up-to-date news from Earlyarts and dates of next sessions)
